Reptile Rack is an iPhone and iPad app only — this page is not a web product. Below is exactly what the free plan includes and what Rack Pro adds in the app today.
Free (up to 10 active animals)
Full husbandry logging for your collection within the free animal limit. No Monarch Labs account required.
- All event types, photos on logs, custom event types, bulk feed and clean
- Smart reminders with snooze/skip; optional daily digest; feeder low-stock alerts
- Species search over a bundled multi-thousand taxa catalog; care templates plus richer notes on popular species (starting points, not veterinary advice)
- Pedigree (dam/sire), morph genotypes, and genetics calculator (Breeding tab toolbar)
- JSON household backup export; CSV animal import; merge imports without duplicating events
- Per-animal text and PDF history; text and PDF buyer transfer packs

- Apple Intelligence natural-language log assist on supported devices
- Per-animal CSV export (text and PDF export remain on the free plan)
JSON backups can include breeding project data in the file, but restoring breeding projects from a backup requires Rack Pro.
Not included
- No browser-based app or web dashboard — use the iOS/iPadOS app
- No MorphMarket or marketplace integration (you share export files yourself)
- No real-time multi-user editing — household sharing uses manual JSON merge
- CITES and UVB detail on every catalog species — only templates plus ~130 curated overlays and presets

- How many animals can I track for free?
- Up to 10 active animals with full husbandry logging, reminders, widgets, Live Activity, Siri shortcuts, and JSON backup export.
- Is there a web version of Reptile Rack?
- No. Reptile Rack runs on iPhone and iPad only. This website explains pricing and migration — it is not a browser-based logging app.
- What does Rack Pro add?
- Unlimited animals, iCloud sync, QR labels and batch scanning, breeding projects, vet document OCR, CSV export, and Apple Intelligence log assist on supported devices.
- Do I need an account to use the free tier?
- No Monarch Labs account is required. Data stays on your device by default; iCloud sync is optional and requires Rack Pro plus an Apple ID signed into iCloud.
